I've got my phone! I was going to put a picture on, but the camera's battery was just about dead, and the memory card was full. >:( My phone is cool. Very cool. I'm very excited to finally have one!!!

Hi December!

OK. December's here (Hi December!). I went to the dentist, which was OK, since they didn't do anything to my teeth. And I was SUPPOSED to get my phone today, but I had a really busy day, so I couldn't. Oh, well... This post was a lot shorter than I thought it would be. Tomorrow I'll definitely get my phone, and I'll share a picture with my friends from blog-land!

It's the last day of November already! Big day tomorrow, as it's December (exciting), I'm finally getting a phone (YES!) and I have to go to the dentist (which I hate). I have to get braces on the 12th of December. :/ Not too thrilled about that. More details tomorrow. Bye November!

Fireworks

If someone had asked me a week ago what I'd be doing on Guy Fawkes Day, I would have said that I'd be at the beach watching fireworks. I'm not. I'm at home with my brothers. Usually the shops around here sell loads of fireworks for the 5 of November, but this year I couldn't find any. I'm not really that sad, though. I'll just have to wait until New Year to see some fireworks. That's life, I guess...

Catching Up on Stuff

I'm back, Blog-land! There's a lot to catch up on... I've watched a lot of movies. Monte Carlo was cool; The Smurfs was awesome because I saw it in 3D. The last movie I saw in 3D was Tangled, and that was in January. My puppy, Indi, is growing so fast. She's about triple the size she was when we got her, and apparently she's small for her age. How is that possible? I'm now reading The Hobbit, and it's REALLY good. And that's about it!

Holidays Forever!

If anyone's been to Durban, they will know that it's true when I say: it's HOT. I had an awesome time!!! We went to uShaka Marine World the first day. A dolphin show was on, so we saw it. One of the dolphins has been there since 1974! The aquarium was modeled to look like a shipwreck. There were a LOT of animals. I liked the turtles, the jellyfish and the sharks. The last (and best) thing we did was go on the rides! I could not go on the biggest (or second biggest) ride. I was too scared. :/ But I went on all the others, except one, which was closed. I hate it when that happens. My mom only went on two rides because 'she didn't want to get her hair wet'. Second day was uneventful - mostly watching TV with my cousins. But on the third day we had a big party for my Gran's birthday. It was pretty cool, although I spent most of the time fooling around, drinking Iced Tea and eating divine chocolate mousse cake. Yum...
Then the beach next day. High tide, cold wind. But I did bury one of my cousins in the sand. :) The rest of the holiday was mostly going to restaurants, watching TV/DVDs, reading or shopping. I came back yesterday, and I've missed my blogging!

Pretty Calligraphy

I am now learning calligraphy! It's so pretty, but it's very hard to do!!! I'm doing it for school. The word 'calligraphy' actually comes from a Greek word (don't ask me what that word is) meaning 'beautiful handwriting'. I got a set with pens and ink at the art shop in Constantia Village. They're like fountain pens. I have a huge ink stain on my right index finger...

Butterflies in a Museum, Lilies in a Gallery

I went to the South African National Gallery and the South African Museum today. There was some exhibition of a Russian painter who came to South Africa. He painted a pretty picture of red lilies in a vase. You wouldn't BELIEVE how good these paintings were. The museum was cool, but a bit... creepy. Shivers ran up and down my legs the whole time. It felt like all the animals and birds and things were watching me. But there was a butterfly exhibit that had such beautiful blue butterflies in it. They looked like they were shimmering. And later, I went to the library and got some Jane Austen books. Educational day, I'd say, wouldn't you?

Almost There

My room is ALMOST finished. It is now bright turquoise, and I bought these cute blue and khaki cushions with beach umbrellas on. Now we're just waiting to get the curtains done. I'm not so happy about this because my current curtains are light pink. And pink and turquoise do NOT go well together. :( Oh well, it gets done when it gets done! I'll put some pictures up when it's finished (if it ever is).

Did You Notice...

My blog has had a MAKEOVER!!! It took me forever, because I couldn't figure out how to do half the stuff at first... :) Is it weird that it's called Sprinkles, Sparkles and Stars, but it's beachy? I just like beach themes, I guess! Oh, and I've been homeschooling for two days. I LOVE IT!!! :D Anyway, I think my blog looks really cool (not meaning to brag, sorry)! What do you think?

Puppy Classes

I went to Indi's puppy classes this morning, and all the puppies were very cute. They were:
Indi: Best puppy ever
Pumba: Cute black Labrador
Levi: Crazy Pit Bull that tried to eat my hoodie
Philo: Hyper Dalmatian
Sparkles: Funny Jack Russel
Duchess: White puffball
Snoopy: Tiny, tiny, tiny chihuahua
Indi was all excited, playing around with Pumba and Philo. Snoopy was growling at her, but she put her paw on his head and he stopped. (Her paw is bigger than his head.) Ha ha.
Unfortunately, Indi has NO idea how to roll over. Or stay. She knows how to sit, go down and give me her paw. Other than that, not much. Oh well...

Water Dog

For the first time since winter began, I'm wearing a T-shirt and shorts. We've just found out that Indi is a water dog. She sticks her face in her water bowl and blows bubbles. Mom was watering the grass, and Indi was running through the spray, and biting thin air. She's turning out to be a big source of entertainment! And we don't have to wash her now...

I am a Skating Dunce...

I am SO sorry I haven't posted recently! I've been so busy lately! Anyway... I've been ice-skating with my friend Sarah, and I didn't fall once! Ha! I'm still a bit of a dunce though. It's horrible when you're about to fall over, but you don't. I get a sick feeling, and I'm scared to move in case I do fall over. But I actually LOVE skating, and I'm thinking of getting roller-blades to improve my balance.

Another Royal Wedding

I'm doing this while everyone else watches the royal wedding in Monaco. It's been on for three hours. Two of those were just guests arriving. I have to say, I liked the British royal wedding a lot more. Although, Charlene (is that her name? I'm not sure) is really pretty in her dress. But she never smiles. Kate was happy, happy, happy. This Prince of Monaco is 20 years older than her. 20! I couldn't sit through the whole thing. Some opera singer that's there has been singing for fifteen minutes now. Have you heard of Grace Kelly? That famous actress from the fifties? She married the Prince of Monaco. This prince is her son. You know, it's funny. The British royal wedding involved a prince with a famous mother (Princess Diana) getting married to a commoner. The same here. I'm really bored. I had to find something to blog about, right?

Pony Camp

Internet wasn't working, so I couldn't blog yesterday. Grrr. I went to a pony camp, and it was AWESOME!!! The horse was called Beetlejuice, but we all called him Beetle! We did a horseback treasure hunt. The treasure was gummy sweets. Yum. There were a couple of horsey quizzes that I did quite well in. And there were two cute Dalmatians, and a German Shepard called Bear! :)

Yes, Indi's OK. I was panicking earlier, I think I over reacted. Her lip's a little bit swollen though. Poor baby. I'm glad she's alright though, she's too cute to get hurt!

Poor Indi!

My little puppy Indi just got stung by a bee! Poor baby!!! There was a hive in the wall in the back garden, but we brought a bee guy in to get rid of it before we got Indi. But the bees are BACK! Puppies can die from bee stings! I CAN"T LET INDI DIE!!! I love her too much!!! Crossed fingers she's OK...

Finished School...

Forever! I left my school today to homeschool! I was a bit sad because I've been there seven years, and I'll miss my friends, but homeschooling is going to be AWESOME!!! And I saw such a cute movie called Mr Popper's Penguins. The penguins were SO ADORABLE!!! It's going on my list of favourite movies, which are:
1. Tangled
2. Despicable Me
3. Mr Popper's Penguins
4. Letters to Juliet

New Room Coming Soon!

My room is light pink, and it's been like that since I was little. Only problem is that I HATE pink. I'm choosing paint for my room today!!! I was trying to decide between purple, turquoise and neon green, but I chose turquoise. I think light turquoise would be best. I've been wanting to fix my room FOREVER!!! YAY!!!

Homeschool?

I go to a school called Sweet Valley. I've been there since before Grade 1, and I've always said that I'm going to stay until I've finished Grade 7. I'm in Grade 6 now, but now I just... School's just not fun anymore. I absolutely dread it. I've been thinking of homeschooling. I've got friends that do. I'm pretty sure I'm going to. You see, in South Africa we end the school year in December instead of July like in America. So I'm in the middle of the year, but the term is almost finished. I don't know when I'm going to leave. I think soon. I'd like to leave, but I'll miss my friends. I guess I could still see them. I'll have to see.

Smudge is one of my cats. She's mine, which means I don't share her with ANYBODY. I got her when I was 10 (I'm 12 now). She 's black and white and FLUFFY! And she has these HUGE amber eyes that sometimes freak me out. :) I WILL put photos of my pets on here as soon as I figure out how to...
Pilchard
Another cat. He's been around for just about forever to me, since I was 3 when he arrived. He doesn't have a tail because a car ran over him once. :( Poor boy.
Pablo
Yes, another cat. He's the last one, promise! I thought I'd add him, but I'm not sure if he's actually mine. He's the neighbour's, but he likes it at my house. I'd hurt his feelings if I left him out anyway. Ha ha! 
Bronco
Has anyone ever seen a Boxer? I have 2. Bronco is my big Boxer. He's 5 now, which means that he's about halfway through his life...But he's REALLY playful, and he loves my puppy.
Tash
Tash is the oldest dog. She's a Miniature Schnauzer. I take her for granted most of the time, but I've made a desicion that if I give attention to the other dogs, I can do it to her too! :)
Indi
I've had Indi for two weeks, give and take a few days. She's the cutest, most beautiful puppy!!! Smudge is a scardey-cat and runs away whenever she's around. Indi isn't quite housetrained yet. Yuk.
I told you this would be long. Must go, I have books to read and cats to stroke...
